| March 2006 -- Designed by Marc Pelletier, this model mimicks the bud growth in plant forms. Twelve rhombic icosahedra (each made of 20 diamond-shaped faces) join at a common point. Intersecting spirals governed by the Divine Proportion in each bud reflect the Fibonacci spirals found every-where in nature. Different levels of buds are "morphed" to illustrate various stages of growth. |
